About Dogs

When you own a dog of any breed, providing appropriate care is an important mindset that you should always have for the entire duration of your dog's life span spent with you in your care.

A puppy in the window is one of the most appealing and adorable creatures on the face of the earth, and everyone had, at some point in his/her life, desired to own a puppy. But note a puppy is not a fad. You have to carefully consider the affordability of dog ownership and whether a dog can fit into your busy lifestyle, even that of a child’s.

Many people have different reasons, and unrealistic expectations when they decide to own a dog; because dogs are cute, dogs are fun to play with, dogs for company, and the list can go on… People need to realize that dogs are not substitutes for human beings. Human beings relate to each other in a reciprocal manner, and likewise, relationships with your dog are no different.

As dog owners, understanding your dog contributes to the well being of your dog. Dogs need companionship and have the intelligence to sense your love and care for them. Dogs are aware of the times when you have them in your thoughts and those times when they are ignored and forgotten, as they watch you go about your busy days.

Dogs are intelligent and sensitive to your emotions and moods, your tone of voice and speech; dogs reciprocate and react to your ways; dogs have senses of their own, and they show them too by their own behaviours. Dog owners need to be sensitive to what their dogs are telling them as well.

What is important in a dog’s life is knowing that it has been loved by it’s owners and come on it’s last day that it knows its’ life spent with you has been cherised and loved deeply, and as a dog owner, you have no regrets to say sleep well and good night for ever more.

And on this note, understanding and caring for your Dog is a commitment that you make on the day you brought the dog home into your life.
